THE ART OF HUMAN INTERACTION
On a spectaculor Saturday afternoon I was on my way home from a long daily jaunt, as I was passing the neighborhood grocer; which happens to be a large chain, a young woman stepped directly into my path. I had to come to a complete stop to avoid a collision. I leisurely strolled behind her. My pace was swifter than hers. I quickly gained ground. I veered to her left, using her draft to draw even.
As I was about to pass her by a nose I slipped in a casual comment:
“I think I may be racing you”.

She giggled and turned to glance my way. I was greeted by her gracious smile. She was strikingly beautiful. We walked lockstep for several steps. When we came to a fork in the road, the next intersection, she glanced my way, still sporting her intoxicating smile, and said:
“I think you won.”
To which I replied:
“No, you did.”
In reality, we both did!
