The ongoing struggles of a 'failed writer' who has no business chasing his 'dreams.'
If you want to keep being my friend, you must stop projecting your aggressive 'will' on me. You need to stop telling me to get a job. You need to care that I’ve been through much; and yet, somehow I find the strength to put incredible effort into writing, and I will never quit trying. All while battling crippling bouts of depression.
And you need to stop telling the closest person to me that → that person is the only one who can make me come to my senses and get a job.
Did you forget, I’m now 62 years of age?
If you keep imposing your 'will' on me, I will decide to cut you out of my life.
I am doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I cannot believe, at this stage of my life, some people, who supposedly care about me, cause me more pain by screaming at me, ‘get a job,’ and when I say it upsets me, telling me, I dwell on things and need to get over it.
If you want to keep being my friend, you must encourage me to keep moving forward instead of 'risking my life' by pushing me to jump into entry-level employment at 62.
