6thAll it takes is one drop to finish it all.
A GIGANTIC WALL stands between Broughton and Asheville, stretching for three hundred miles and five miles wide—one side is teeming with dangerous sea creatures, the other with toxic plants. Broughton is insular and white. Asheville is teeming with diversity, bursting to life with a vibrant arts scene. But are they really any different? The HORRENDOUS WALL is to keep people out and keep citizens in the dark, trapping the unsuspecting souls in their crumbling realities—fuelled by greed. The youth of Broughton and Asheville and Broughton have lost all hope for the future, so the devastatingly gorgeous Lacy and her true love Tomorrow decide to poison the water supply to start civilization again. All it takes is one drop to finish it all.. DISCLAIMER:

8thRoger and Stan knew this day would come. In—WALL YEARS—they were less than two years old. However, Vancouver’s weather had ravaged them. Their hard lives had etched into them and became deeply readable in their facial lines. Not so much personal neglect, but more so, life on a wall in a city often described as a rainforest.
They vaguely remember the day of their birth. Roger and Stan used to be human, but on this fateful day, shortly after they robbed a nearby liquor store, it’s not what you think. They weren’t stealing for themselves—they were helping an elderly neighbour afford her meds, keeping her alive. With the law in hot pursuit, they turned the corner at Main + 26th when they came across the stunning Madison, a mural artist painting on the side of a building. Hold your horses’ boys. Where’s the fire? Roger and Stan screeched to a halt. What are you running from? They gasped for breath and shared the story about Betty, her meds, and their heroic theft. In a world where most people crawl over one another to climb. I can help you. My brush has magical powers. I will paint you on the scene—you’ll remain free. Give me Betty’s address, and I’ll ensure she gets her meds. Twenty minutes later, Roger and Stan lived as old men—on a wall at 26th and Main. Little did they know, their new home would be ephemeral. In the two years of their lives on the wall, oh, the things they saw—including the murder of Madison. On this fateful day, they were to flake off the wall—become human again—and do everything possible to solve Madison’s murder. If Karma Exists

Weren't you recently called a 'failed writer' by someone representing people who were trying to hurt you? I don't want to answer. Ask those people what they did today? Question asked, here's their answer. We exploited some people on the fringes of society, people suffering, for personal gain. DISCLAIMER:

10thSuppose you love Charlie Kaufman, Chuck Palahniuk, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Blindboy Boatclub, and some guy named Kafka. In that case, you will love this episodic collection of stories about a group of aging friends who meet every Friday at a gay bar, during a once-in-a-century pandemic, to discuss living—while some of them are imbibing in gummy bears.
One Day, You’ll Be Old Too
A pandemic strikes the world. A bubble forms at a watering hole. Over 360 years of experience sit at a table. The Mayor, the Postman, the Writer, Jacques, 2G, Preacher Boy, with a gaggle of colourful phantasmagorical guests dropping by. One table, a tipple, a gummy—a microphone drops from the sky—the talking stick. WTF are you saying? It doesn’t matter—2G just announced he’s versatile. He sends his fries back. He’s got six decades of potato experience.
This Table and The Cackling Fags ricochet between form and genre, cracking open a window into a dark, irreverent, breathtakingly hilarious, yet somehow poignant journey through the daily life of six men. Think → The Golden Girls in an alternative reality times infinity. Gummies amp things up. Conversations float through the air—dots rarely connecting. They sing a song, deliver a sermon, tamp down racist thoughts, and solve the ills of the world. Okay, they don’t solve any ills, that thought was a fib. Sexuality becomes hilariously cringeworthy. This is not your grandpas Friday Night—I mean afternoon—because LAST CALL for This Table and The Cackling Fags is 6 PM, just before Jeopardy is about to begin. Soundtrack by the DeMarco Sisters (another fib). What did you do yesterday?

11thHow did WE, get here?
What did you do yesterday?
I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. The line above is a given. I worked out. I wrote to my crack legal counsel expressing urgency. I don't think they listened. I walked over 30,000 steps and took part in another episode of Gummy Friday (This Table) Can you give us a teaser? Sure (Adult Content - redacted for your protection) Episode Working Title: Teaching Virgins The conversation shifts to creepy, sexual content is on the table. My first time... My first time... The Postman at 12. Mark at 13. 2G at 12 (with someone, 10), The Writer at 21. 2G: You don't know how many virgins I've taught to blow me. Whaaaaaat... The Postman suggests he's going to teach Duncan how to... I cringe; I suggest if 2G does, I will be forced to rescue Duncan. 2G died once. He was in the ICU. I visited. Not only was I traumatized by seeing a tutor hooked up to so many machines, but amp it up; the guy in the next bed died while I was trying to get the high score on 2G's life-saving equipment. The medical team pounds on the dead guy's chest. He remains dead. 2G comes out of his comma. He cracks his eyes open. How can a coma be one letter shorter than a comma? 2G looks at me and says: They Gave me hospital-grade cocaine. Let's get into skinning. What's that? I read about it and then made it up. It isn't a real thing. The gist is you scrape off skin at different stages (system restore points) of your life, and when you want to return to the past, you snort them. Like cocaine? No, more like Ketamine. Neigh. What is BoJack Horseman doing in here? Why is a picture of Duncan and 2G on the feature wall? Ewe... 2G: I've only had five jobs in my life. He lists them. M + Postman: Debate. Debate. Debate. How can 2G say he's only had five jobs? Debate. |In my Head| Were you guys even listening? 2G is suggesting a "number of virgins" he's tutored at giving blow jobs, and you are talking about.... oh my. The Writer: How many? Eight? Twelve? He has a number. 2G: Four, they were all straight. The Writer: Names? 2G: Lawrence, Greg, Cameron, why can't I remember the fourth? I look across the table and imagine my hand cupping a basketball and dribbling. I'm sure this is offensive and funny because M is short, and the basketball is his head. M goes off on a rant about being with someone 6'8" who didn't fit in the bedroom, bouncy, bouncy. The Postman: Expand on that thought in your mind, you don't have to say it aloud. The Writer asks 2G: Do you use a chalkboard during your tutorials? I find your school fascinating. I go to the washroom. Stumble. Stumble. Stumble. Peeing now, I look at the white tiles, morphing into faces and things, they are performing for me. Don't worry, they perform for me when I'm completely sober as well. I see things. Don't worry they're not talking. Yet. Did I just say this stuff out loud? No. You typed it. Whew. Certifiable. Rhetorical. I wonder if those sitting down when they are in the washroom have the same experience? I decide yes. I need to tell the Postman. The Writer: Postman, do you think other people see the same things we do when they use the washroom? He gets it. Maybe we are nuts. Probably, we are nuts. The Writer: 2G, tell me more about your school. 2G: C'mon, Writer, someone must have taught you how to...? Should we call the authorities? Come over here. M says he was in a gay bar in Regina. I lived in Regina in 1989. The Postman: Did you run into M in the bar? The Writer: Back in 89, I didn't know homo existed. And besides M was there in 2002. The Postman: Answer the question. The Writer: I did. This is an excellent place to stop. I was just stung by a Quantum Bee. DISCLAIMER:

12thA story about recovering racists.
Said the White Guy is, a closer look at the conversations around us all the time. Every white guy has to face the fact that they are, in some way, recovering racists.
Said the White Guy, looks at racism from a new angle; examining the evolution of author Lindsay Wincherauk from growing up in an insular, primarily Caucasian, Saskatchewan, where cable TV came from Detroit; to eventually landing in Vancouver and being in a multi-ethnic relationship; and every decade in between. Why? If we are truthful, white folk have been conditioned since birth, so we must make it our own quest to not be racist. The ruse has deceived many of us, if not nearly all, to think, we deserve more, and it’s a discount to think that the puppet masters pulling our strings are nothing more than puppets as they strive to keep life’s playing field in their favour. Lindsay Wincherauk confesses he will never truly understand the unshakable privilege of being white and the injustice we have done to those who don’t look like us caused by the lies of superiority ingrained in us. I don’t want to be racist. So, I’ll write more. Listen to the voices floating around me. And make hard decisions about who can be in my life. I want to recover. What did you do yesterday?
I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. The line above is a given. 13thThis is the story of a city boy named And. It is also a story about a country girl named Literally.
As happenstance would have it, they would meet on a fateful day. And, was the saddest boy in the world—Literally was the saddest girl in the world. Why? Because as they travelled through life, they grew increasingly tired of their names being over + misused. They both lived in a time without video games; there was no numbing the mind with unlimited streaming services or smartphones. All And + Literally had to entertain themselves were their fertile imaginations. Read more of their story ↓↓↓

I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. The line above is a given. I took another day off from the Fitness Asylum to give my broken pinky toe, appropriately named Pinky, a break. Pinky doesn't want to stop hurting. I'm battling crippling, literally crippling, depression. I've been duped by doing the right thing. Something I'm not allowed to talk about because awful people are being protected by (). What? Brackets protect them. What does that even mean? I wrote some more, created more and helped friends laugh. Without And was created. It was entitled initially, And. It then morphed into: Without And. It is now: Literally without And. I love the title. Thank you. I do as well. I think the story may be award winning. At least that is what the reader of the first few pages (not me) said. Oh yeah, a musical artist (Prevail) suggested my ideas are gene-us. Creativity never sleeps. I feel like my heart is failing. Not my writing heart, but my heart of hearts. My writing heart is strong. Not this. But usually. I'm not too worried about these riffs. So what? I watched Daisey Jones + The Six... so yes. riffs. Go about your day. I will. DISCLAIMER:

I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. The line above is a given. I wrote the pitch for Literally Without And... I'm sure it is award-winning! But you are a 'failed writer...' according to... A bunch of bleeps. Bleeps who told me while I'm 62, I have no business chasing my dreams. Seriously. These people are... I don't want to talk about them. I hope their children don't have dreams. Look above; it shows you have made 741 pitches - if that's not failed; what is? What did the bleeps do today? Exploited suffering people for personal gain? They do this every day, They are users, not contributors. The man is upset; the numbers are down; you had better do a blitz. Who's going to lock the doors when he's forced to shut down. Turn out the lights. Who would you want on your team?
vo·li·tion /vōˈliSHən/ noun
I've made far over 741 pitches; I won't stop. No matter how much marginal bleeps try to bring me down. I believe that spirit and resiliancy is the exact opposite of failure. My numbers keep rising! Got to run; I need to make more pitches. Believe in yourself! DISCLAIMER:

I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. The line above is a given. I have friends named... I can't use these names because others have them, and I might be punished if I do. Hell, I can't even write fiction about a food distribution company. I'm not even sure I can use my name because it's the name I had (my whole life) when I worked at the last place I worked, and my craic legal team allowed "an" injustice to be placed on me, blocking me from talking to anyone who ever worked for the last company I worked for. I worked for that company, so now, I have no name. Oh yeah, I'm interviewing for an entry-level position with AC tomorrow (today when you are reading); I have a language proficiency interview. Born in Canada. Lived here for 62.5 years. Wrote OPEDs for a paper. Written the equivalent of 10+ books. And now I'm being given a language proficiency test. I hope I pass. I wrote, created, and pitched several story ideas to publishers and literary agents. I'm 62.5 and I interviewed for an entry-level position at AC yesterday! In France they are rioting because the government is trying to raise the retirement age to 64. The interview was more a convesation than an interview to see if I could speak English. I'm 62.5 years old. I was born in Edmonton. My only language is English. Except for being able to say butterfly in numerous languages. I used to write Opinion Editorials for a local paper. I've written umpteen books. I've performed stand-up and spoken in front of a crowd of 5,000+. I've been interviewed on TV and radio (several times). And yet, I had to prove I could speak English by answering four questions?
To Number 4: I answered Saskatoon. Seriously. I wonder if I passed. I also wonder if this humiliating test; is because of the Karens of the world. Go think about it. Only come back once you're done thinking. Did you go? Did you think about it? No. Then go. Seriously. Let me help you. The Karens of the world wants everything cheap. Companies know this, so they farm out the call center work to developing nations with low pay rates. And then, when the Karens and Rogers of this world phone, they complain the person barely speaks English, blaming the person being paid a starving wage instead of the company or themselves. Of course, as mentioned above, I pitched more of my writing today; I changed all the text to Nepali. More Important I met a few friends for an hour or two. Why is that more important? Because we laughed. I will leave you with this, OFJEWOHJOEOEHOGHE! Oops. I almost forgot. I released a new episode of Sparkly Pingle Ball yesterday! The Intangibles I'm done updating. I want to go to the asylum (fitness), however; Pinky, my broken pinky toe is acting up. How can you be so far from the control center and still cause so much pain? I walked to my reading place, as I cross the street, a man looks my way and says, "Your shoe is untied." I smile, while thinking, call it a flat tire, that sounds better, I think as my thinking is waning. I'm at my reading place, reading when I look at my phone. Great, I passed my AC linguistics test, I even got, "you got a good score." I'm a 62.5-year-old-man, whose lived in Canada my whole life, and I got a good score at speaking English - I'm not sure how to feel - for an entry-level position. Before I wind my way to Gummy Friday, a lady cuts me off on the sidewalk. I thought nothing of it except for a momentary startle. I hear "Hey. Hey." coming from behind me. I look. "Hey, I'm sorry." The Given
The Intangibles How am I feeling? Today is yet to be determined. Yesterday, blue. I don’t want to be blue, but depression is relentless. Am I really depressed? I don’t know; I haven’t done the online test. So, what I can say is I’m feeling sullen. A group of monsters (3... 4) caused me and my family significant pain over the last three years, all for what? These ghouls didn’t think or care about the pain and suffering they inflicted on someone who made them all rich. If they were honest with themselves when they look in the mirror, they would realize the only fucking reason they have a mirror to look at their marginality in is because the person they hurt the most was great at what they did, which provided them all with the riches to purchase the houses the mirrors hang in. They are so delusional they think, they… I don’t fucking know what they think. DISCLAIMER:
The following excerpt is a work of fiction. Names, characters, business, events and incidents are products of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I had only been on the job for two days when I opened a desk drawer in the backroom to find a collection of drug paraphernalia. Before I could shut the door, the man you placed in command sauntered into the room. I blushed. No need. He wanted to spill the beans. And spill he did.
He blurted out, you like drugs. It couldn’t be simpler than that. I didn’t care, nor did I want to know. But your man kept spilling, overflowing my mind with a description of who you are and opening a window into a paranoia I would indeed find one day residing in your soul. Your man kept talking expounding on your drug usage: cocaine, weed, opioids—this was your man in command talking—makes you wonder: if he’d spill so easily to me, someone who had yet to meet you, who else has he told? He went on. Telling me you even went as far as to get one of your exploitable employees, a man suffering from mental health issues and severe addiction problems, to source your illicit product in Zip Code 62703. An area once entered, exiting alive was a gamble. You didn’t care if this man, named Trae, failed in obtaining drugs for you. So be it, you thought, another Trae was willing to be used, because like you, they’re deluded as well. The fact of the matter, you’ve killed before, at least that’s what your man said. He said you were jonesing for a fix, and despite an uptick in violence in 62703, you sent Trae on a mission. That day was Trae’s last; he was bludgeoned to death trying to secure a fucking score for you. You didn’t even take a moment to mourn Trae’s death. Instead. You just screamed "NEXT," and another lost soul jumped at the opportunity to be used by you. Your man kept blabbering, telling me about your failed marriage. A marriage that failed when your wife, no saint herself, walked in on you while you were partaking in blow, both kinds—not with another woman-- Your man told me she got out while there was something still to get from you, before you snorted all your cash up your nose. - excerpt from the yet to be released fictitious story Murdered. Didn’t one of them pretend to be your friend?
He wasn’t a talented actor. Shifty eyes. Like every Republican. At least he wasn't a proud father whose boasted about conquests in front of others; or someone who has snorted... Good riddance. How has your depression manifested itself? I fuel it with my creative juices. I will only stop once I am found. I’m resilient. Only fools mess with resiliency. What are you up to now? I will keep writing and writing until I blow the house down. A promise? Yes. With the key person gone, have you bounced back (a question for...)? Rumour has it: everything is down 66%. Sounds like you make sound managerial decisions. Get rid of the Top 10%, and where do you find yourself: sinking... sinking... gone. With a little help from a friend. Eyes shifting. A brilliant thespian. DISCLAIMER:

The Intangibles I worked for seven hours searching for my future. Regardless of the hurdles and gauntlet thrust in front of me, I never stop. We started moving. Walk. Walk. Walk. Stop. Read. Coffee + a snack. I'm not much of a coffee person. Will I move to Korea? It's yet to be determined. I love my proposals, and if one of them lands, I can live anywhere. I'm expecting one of them to hit the mark. I love it here, but maybe it's time I stirred things up. I, with hesitation, sign a document admonishing monsters for what they are. I regret my decision. Don't. This needs to be done. I need to move forward. I didn't want to fold. But, I was strongly led down that path. Move forward. Head up. A House of Cards is about to be destroyed. DISCLAIMER:

Intangibles What Limbo is Like (A Poem) I'm fragile. Hypersensitive. I need a chapter to close, but the people who can complete it are choosing to make me wait. All it will take is a signature on a dotted line. They could have done this for the last two months. They haven't. On Friday, they told me it was done. On Monday, they sent me the last details. They told me they'd address the matter ASAP. Their definition of ASAP is... different from most. It's been five days now. I guess they can't find a |profanity alert| fucking pen. Regina: The city that rhymes with... How did you sneak that past a council meeting? I'm fragile. Hypersensitive. You looked at a proposal and said are you leaving those pictures in? Did I send them an email every day? You asked. You told me my website should only be my words. That way, you'd have a better chance. I grow silent. For the last three years I have been filled with doubt. I wonder if any thing I do is the right thing. Now. I want to quit. Blow up my website. quit trying. Words sting. I'm fragile. Hypersensitive. Intangibles Lessons on How I Do Not Want to Be Before I get to the lesson, here's an update. After a 10-day hiatus from the fitness asylum to rest Pinky, my broken toe on my left foot, I've returned for the last 2 days. A mistake; Pinky doesn't like it - so a visit to the ER might be in order. Ouch. I have averaged over 23,000 steps every day this year and approximately 17,000 per day for the last 3 years - to fend off crushing depression. It works somewhat. I'm still depressed - I haven't been fully compacted yet. I clicked on some clickbait; some fit young guy (40ish) walked 10,000 steps daily for a month. He had an article published in a significant publication, complete with a video, because of his extraordinary accomplishment. I'm 62.5, and last July (60), I walked over 40,000 daily for the entire month. Our local news people weren't interested. I give up. Anyway, let's get to the lesson, Jacques 76, an acquaintance, not a friend. I don't particularly care for him. Why? Because he's a racist who hates poor people. He's confusing because he works at a church, but yesterday, like many, he expounded his opinions; frankly, they are offensive. Yesterday, he visited a friend in the hospital. He told another friend of mine about this. He told him his friend was in rough shape, and then he decided to share a story about the other two men in his friend's room. He said one was Chinese; his name is CHING CHONG DONG WEI or another unpronounceable name like that, Jacques said with a chuckle. He then shifted his thoughts to the other man. He said they delivered their lunch, but his friend and the Chinese man were sleeping, so the third man, a homeless man, ate all three meals because he was starving. Not an exciting story at all. Jaques wasn't done; "the good thing about the homeless man is he wasn't woe-is-me; he accepts he's homeless because he did it to himself." Apparently, the church Jacques works at doesn't teach compassion and empathy. I don't like Jaques. Another friend... no, that's enough, I will leave it at Jacques. I don't want to be like that or have people like that in my life (Jacques, that is). I don't care how old he is. The Lesson Not only is Jacques bigoted and a poor basher, but when he (and when my friend, who I didn't speak of) says the things to others, they are putting people in a position where they are being asked to take part in their misguided vitriol. This sickens me. I don't want to be like that and will never tolerate it. As for my depression, please end the chapter of my life lingering for the last 3 years. I don't want to die depressed. Ex-people-I-made rich, you have destroyed my life. The last sentence is a work of fiction, like everything on this website, and in my life, any resemblence to... blah, blah, fucking blah... 24th15 Stories
and 15 Poems (+1 Bonus Poem)
A collection of fifteen dark, delectable, wildly imaginative stories + fifteen, often zany and heart-wrenching genre-defying poems (+1), from the fertile mind of raconteur Lindsay Wincherauk.
This collection of fifteen brutal, darkly funny short stories examines our deepest fears and meanders through our most disturbing fantasies. Through stories about the gap between ‘have’ and ‘have not’ — the desperation of trying to find one’s place in a confusing world, food insecurity, greed + ego, domestic abuse, family deception, alienation, and dystopia; Wincherauk’s take on the human experience manifests in complex, unexpected—often unsettling, sometimes thrilling, and always profound ways. In Dissemination, a phantom inflammation threatens to destroy a man’s livelihood, a Caucasian man attempts to transition to Filipino, and a Demon Chaser confronts an active shooter. In Mac & Cheese + Broken Glasses, an aging man feels guilty buying Mac & Cheese because he lost his job, and when his glasses break; he must choose between remaining blind or food. In Plus 15, a man who hasn’t been outside in five years must face his ultimate fear, during a blizzard, to save his family, Life Without Mirrors examines whether life would be better if we never saw our faces. 9Zs looks into whom Greed + Ego are willing to sacrifice for personal gain. We take a Mood Walk with a couple. Wincherauk writes in a witty, vivid style; these stories deftly question greed + ego, love, family, mental health, addiction, and unspeakable desires, with undeniable candor. 25th20 Stories
It Started With a Lie + Day 1 + Shame + Name Day + Home Sweet Home + Childhood Memories
+ No Curfew + TV Trays + Spaghetti + My Father’s Family + Puppy Love + Money Fights Are all inspired by Lindsay – The Memoir Another collection of stories from the active mind of raconteur Lindsay Wincherauk.
In My Day, we walk lockstep with the author as he learns how to befriend a man, he just met, who tells him he’s dying. In The Encounter (series), while reading at a park bench, a man is led into the woods for a redacted encounter which swallows him in guilt, but each time he shares the story, the redaction disappears. Day 1: On a hot summer day, a baby is born in a place where unwed mothers are sent to give birth to illegitimate demon seeds. Shortly after his birth, the baby wonders where everyone has gone? Six decades later, a man examines every crevice of his life travails in search of who he is and who he is destined to become. He watches his mother and father die twice, leading to the possibility of meeting his father for the third time. He discovers he is 48% Norwegian. As he cobbles his past together, he struggles desperately to become whole. Let’s Cut Off Our Hands: Sexuality springs to the forefront when a homophobic carpenter and his homophobic partner cut off their hands to avoid the risk of holding hands in public. This collection of twenty stories fuses fiction and non, and with the story collection winding down, the boy (now a man) meets his mother for the first time, as his mother, alongside her deathbed. Intangibles It's been three days since my mind was released from the three monsters.
Monsters so deluded, I could rant, but I won't. They are horrific people, cowards who offer nothing back to the world. The worst of the worst. It would be these three if we deemed anyone in the bottom 10. I thought a heavy cloud would immediately lift. It has. It has created a void. A good void. My mind is clearing. I'm sleeping better. But the air seeping back into my soul has been anti-climatic. I hear a train coming. It's running down the track. “The 620-foot-tall structure is an eyesore even in a city filled with over-the-top architecture,” says Architectural Digest of the ex-president’s giant gold Sin City tower. Radiating a curiously old-fashioned idea of glamour and built in a style most succinctly described as Trumpitecture, the condo tower’s final divisive motif is the 20-foot high TRUMP in glowing serif font at its tip.

Life Without Mirrors examines whether life would be better if we never saw our faces. Olivia’s husband, Frazil, is a cheating, controlling asshole. Olivia’s esteem is in the dumpster until they visit the mirrorless town of Vanity, where finally, she sees Frazil for what he is. And then, Frazil loses control, Olivia falls in love with Tia (the sister of someone Frazil cheated with), and together (Olivia + Tia), starts forming Olivia’s escape plan.
One strength in this narrative is all the characters' ability and willingness to change. Olivia and Frazil exit this story as very different people than when the story began. There's plenty of plot and tension to keep the narrative moving. It's clear what Olivia wants for most of the story, and it's also clear what stands in the way of her getting it.

Deeply Personal Content
I'm trying to close off a lengthy three-year-plus chapter of my life. I read a lot. What I like when I'm reading is quick hits. Rapid-fire chapters keeping the narrative blasting forth. When a chapter takes over three years, it is devastating. The emotional toll is profound. The economic toll is unrecoverable. I can't talk about the economic portion. The fuckers who willfully chose to hurt me and my family don't deserve the attention. They are the worst of the worst people, who paid no consideration to what their decision was inflicting upon a good, kind, empathetic man. A man who enriched all of them, not only financially, but by being an opposing voice, often to their predatory ways. A voice they decided was replaceable. If you don't agree. Go on, go argue amongst yourselves. Go. Get the fuck out of here. You are not welcome. Actually, stay, I know you're an avid reader. A reader who struggles with comprehension. Not only did they strip me of my livlihood as I was turning 60, but they destroyed any chance of me ever retiring. Think about that for a second. I now must work until the day I die. Anyway, I am deep in a depression and can't seem to find a path to claw my way out. Don't be hard on yourself; you've been through much, and it will take time to rise back to the surface. You will. You never give up. You are one of a kind. Thanks. My emotional quicksand arrived long before the last three years. Instead of going over all the traumatic events individually, I will summarize them. Starting in 2016 15 People in my life have died. 10 Friends (including best friends + former roommates + a former girlfriend) 5 Family Members (including a 28-year-old niece). Ages ranging from 28 to 71, many younger than 50 Oh my. Have you dealt with any of these? No. Medical stuff was coming for me, I didn't have the time. And, I was forced to move career locations. Forced? Yeah, I said an emphatic "NO" at least 25 times to being moved, adding the move would potentially be fatal for my health (see stroke below). But, still... I think it may have been part of a gameplan. The Medical Stuff
Many of which were stress related. Your stress level must be off the charts? It is, you know what they say about stress? It's good for you? Nah. Were the people mentioned above aware of the things happening in your life? I think so, at least the one who pretended to be a friend. Did they care? No. They weaponized my life against me. Moving me. Replacing me. And then not giving a damn about what they were inflicting on someone my age. These people sound like monsters. Probably. If you are considering working for a company when they ask if you have questions for them, I have one that may save you grief and your life. What is it? Excellent question.
Is it true you heard the one who used to be a friend try to convince people to drop out of medical school to come work for him (them)?
|Chuckle| In his defence, the one who used to be a friend, had beein binge-drinking. Are you going to be okay? I think so. I never quit trying, and despite being called a "failed writer' by those who vowed to destroy me for looking out for myself; I never will! And yes, because I have amazing people in my life who love me. And yes, becaue I will never stop. I've written thoughts on over 290 books in the last three years (sent by publishers). I've written the equivalent of 10 books in the last three years. I'm working on over 160 story ideas. I've walked/ran/played tennis to the tune of about 20,000 steps per day. And I pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch, my ideas. Oh yeah, I've been asked to take part in several fundraisers to help battle cancer. I may be swaddled in depression, but I fight and fend it off daily. Sounds like they let the wrong person go. You think? What are you going to do? I'm going to keep creating. Are you okay emotionally? How could I possibly be? Did they ever ask how you were doing? No. Not even the one who pretended to be my friend. Where are they now? Failing. I must say, it looks good on them. Thanks for the talk. Before I let you go, one last question. Do you hate them? No. They don't deserve the energy. They are who they are. They contribute to the suffering we see on the street, and they don't fucking care, or are far too deluded to understand they are part of a large problem. They are exploiters. Predators. Bad people. Seeing them fail will be more than enough. Sorry, I have one more question. Okay. What will the next chapter be? Precise. DISCLAIMER:
